Crown Thinning - New Forest, Hampshire

CHTS were asked by a domestic client to provide a quote for various small works in a beautiful garden in the New Forest. These were mostly small pruning works, making sure that the high amenity value of the garden was kept intact.

We arranged for a domestic surveyor to attend the site and record their findings and note any works required to these trees, including any specialist equipment that would be needed to complete this job safely. With this information, they were able to create an appropriate work method statement and risk assessment.

The domestic crew that attended site to complete the works used a combination of secateur and silky saw work to gently lift the gardens trees making access in and around them much easier. The crowns of the tree were also thinned slightly to allow for more light to enter the rear garden at the property.

The timber created was chipped on site and taken back to our waste management facility at Exbury.
