Crown Reduction, Utility Arboriculture - Bushey, Dorset
by Daniel Green
CHTS were instructed by a commercial client to clear a power line of all vegetation that entered the live zone. This involved the reduction or felling of many pines.
We firstly arranged for a Utility Supervisor to visit to check the health and safety of the trees and determine any specialist equipment or planning that may be required for the completion of the works. With this information they were able to create an appropriate work method statement and risk assessment.
The Arborists on site worked from this pack to work along the span of power lines removing all of the intrusive vegetation.
The timber was cut to suitable lengths and stacked on site and all brash was chipped back into the woodland area.
