Tree Felling - New Forest, Hampshire

CHTS were instructed by a Commercial client to fell several storm damaged trees from a campsite within the New Forest Area.

We firstly arranged for a Surveyor to visit site and determine any specialist equipment or planning that may be required for the completion of the works. Most of the trees in question had signs of root heave as a result of strong winds in recent storms. With this information the Surveyor was able to create an appropriate work method statement and risk assessment.

Arborists Henry and Brad were able to straight fell many of the trees due to the campsite being closed to the public. A guide rope was installed 2/3 up the trees to assist the direction in which the trees would fall. The brash was to be chipped and removed from site but the main stems were to be cut to manageable lengths to be removed by the client at a later date.

With the works completed the team returned to Head Office to dispose of the woodchip at our designated Waste Control Area.
