CHTS provide a bespoke service to persons and organisations concerned with the management and condition of trees. We undertake tree surveys and inspections, that allow the client to carry out any necessary remedial works, budget for predicted future works, fulfill legal obligations and produce accurate records of tree condition, density, age and species in any given area.

Our services can be provided to both residential and commercial clients, including Parish councils, Local Authorities and Blue Chip companies. The services offered can be tailored to the clients needs.

Christopher Hoare Tree Services (CHTS) provide our clients with the following schedule of services:

1: Tree Surveys
GIS / Digital survey

We can provide you with experienced staff members who can collect data using
your GIS systems. We have experience in the use of Arbortrack and Cadcorp.
CHTS also provide an innovative professional approach to tree management. We provide a routine cyclical survey & Inspection Service to land owners. All the survey data collected is presented to the client digitally on a disc. No paper plans or schedules to leaf through, in order to find the information you want.

All the information is provided in excel, word and emf (plans) format. All the information links seamlessly and can be accessed and saved on your computer. Records can be recalled with a click of the mouse and survey data compared and cross-referenced using excel spread sheets. The data collected is provided to the client in a simple to use format that requires windows XP, but no specialist computer skills or expensive software to run the program.

2: Tree Inspections, including Pre-mortgage reports
We also provide our clients with individual tree inspections and pre-mortgage reports.

We provide our Clients with:
1: Reliability
2: Professional service and conduct
3: digital data and maps
4: Unique and innovative but simple to use data
5: A service that fulfills legal obligations for landowners with trees growing on their land.
(Occupiers liability Act)

Why proactively survey trees?
1: Good management practice

2: The Occupiers liability Act places an obligation on land/home owners to take reasonable steps, to prevent foreseeable accidents and ensure public safety. A tree or any part of a tree can fail given the right circumstances, most tree failures are foreseeable. However some are not and in legal terms are considered an act of god.
If it was reasonably foreseeable that tree failure was likely and you have not taken steps to pre-empt tree failure, you cannot claim it was an act of god.

3: Routine tree surveys or individual inspections are important management objectives. If your tree or part of your tree falls, can you prove you have taken reasonable steps to ensure public safety?.
